SushiMori - South Surrey
I absolutely love the decor at the SushiMori Restaurant in White Rock. Its cozy lighting and warm atmosphere leaves diners feeling relaxed and stress-free. Although my mom would not agree on the music of choice that evening, which was K-Pop. If you're not a fan of K-Pop, you probably might not enjoy the background music. I don't know if they change the selection depending on the time of day, or if they just play a random playlist from someone's Spotify or iTunes account hooked up to the speakers. Either way, I enjoy K-Pop and was so happy to hear EXO's Tempo playing as we walked to our table. Trust me, you're not the only one giving me an eye-roll; my entire family did.
SushiMori is a mix of Japanese and Korean cuisine - and they do a pretty good job. The Spicy Beef Bulgogi had a very smoky flavour, so if you're not a fan of smoky meat, you may find it a bit strong. The tea had a very nutty taste, I absolutely enjoyed it and the waiter kindly refilled for us several times. And their ice-cream, wow...just wow! Please try it - save room for dessert because you have got to try it. Rich and creamy, it's so good!

With COVID-19, like many other food places, they've started in-house delivery which is available for dinnertime. Delivery radius is within 7 KM and there is a fee if you're over the 4 KM radius. They accept Cash, Debit (let them know ahead of time if it's Debit you are using) and Credit. Personally, I think for everyone's safety - don't give the delivery person cash. Unless you plan on washing the bills; you could! They are made of plastic now and you can definitely wash...but you might freak the poor guy out if you gave him or her a moist, drippy plastic bill. Just to be safe...any plastic bank card will do. They encourage using Foodly for easier online ordering.
